Random Quotations of the Month

‘Random Quotations of the Month’ Is the page which will look at the many different quotes from some of the best brains in the history of civilisation. Hopefully this page will inspire and give other writers, topics for various articles including myself. Every month a new group of famous quotes will appear- Happy reading!

October: I thought I would begin with a few quotes from Confucius:

”Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without”

“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it”

”If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself”

”In a country well governed, poverty is something to be ashamed of. In a country badly governed, wealth is something to be ashamed of”

”Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated”

”Only the wisest and stupidest of men never change”

Hope this gets you thinking!

November- Here are a few quotes from Oscar Wilde:

”Always forgive your enemies – nothing annoys them so much.”

”An idea that is not dangerous is unworthy of being called an idea at all.”

”Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter.”

”Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.”

”Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes”

December- We have looked at some serious, deep and inspirational quotations so I thought (over the festive period) it was time for some light-hearted quotes by Opra.

“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.”

“I always knew I was destined for greatness.”

“I have a lot of things to prove to myself. One is that I can live my life fearlessly.”

“I still have my feet on the ground, I just wear better shoes.”

Have a great time over the festivities and a very happy new year!

Happy New Year everyone!

As it is a new year and a new month I thought that this January 2012 I will focus on some Shakespearian Quotations, as he is a favourite of mine!

“A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool.”

“Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.”

“Better three hours too soon than a minute too late.”

“False face must hide what the false heart doth know”

“Nothing can come of nothing.”

See you next month!
